Tapspace Tesseract by Francisco Perez
Francisco Perez's digitally-enhanced vibraphone solo Tesseract explores the concept of a hypercube (or "tesseract"), a four-dimensional object often used to help people conceptualize dimensions beyond the three our minds can observe.
There isn't a story to follow in this piece; instead, the solo vibraphone part acts as an anchor while a playback of pre-recorded keyboard percussion instruments unfolds around it. It's an audible equivalent of the tesseract - a tool to help understand a theory.
Program this on your recital and you'll give the audience a memorable experience of echoes and reflections.
Difficulty: Medium +

Tesseract ships in a bound score with a CD containing audio tracks for rehearsal (with a click) and for performance (no click).
