Hal Leonard Percussion Concerto (Piano Red.) by Richard Rodney Bennett
OUT OF STOCK! Call for ETA (626) 386-5882.
Richard Rodney Bennett's Percussion Concerto was written for Dame Evelyn Glennie, focusing on non-pitched percussion instruments. Glennie insisted that the instrumentation for this work be "portable", so your setup time won't equal your practice time.
Many of the instruments used are up to the soloist - Bennett did not give exact instrumentation for the entire part. Bennett's music is modernist, but you can hear his film score background and love of jazz poking through.
Difficulty: Advanced
