Tapspace Elements in Time - TRADITIONAL by Danny Raymond

Danny Raymond created his Elements in Time series to give teachers and students a collection of snare drum solos that focus on different things a drummer does. TRADITIONAL exposes students to the development of rudimental drumming over the years.

This book contains three solos of different styles:

• The Imperial contains old-school rudiments, tricks, and phrasings. Written for field drum, two optional bass drum parts are included to turn this solo into a duet or trio.
• Mosaic is flow-oriented, based on a funk/jazz feel that requires a lot of control and nuance. Think of this like a 1960's - 1980's style rudimental solo.
• Psychedelic Relic pulls out all the stops with a relentless assault of diddles, singles, and flam rudiments.
