Tapspace Elements in Time - DEVELOPING by Danny Raymond

Danny Raymond created his Elements in Time series to give teachers and students a collection of snare drum solos that focus on different things a drummer does. This first book, DEVELOPING, is meant for young snare drummers who don't have any real solo pieces under their hands.

This book contains three solos of different styles:

• Uncommon Ground mixes 2/4 and 3/4 time signatures to teach groupings of five beats, with plenty of clicks and tricks to keep everybody entertained.
• The Waco Kid has a distinctive wild west flavor to it with galloping rhythms, some flams, and two triplet roll passages that will help drummers earn their salt.
• Transformer has the drummer switch back and forth between matched and traditional grips, exposing them to the pros and cons of each style. It's a good introduction for students who are curious about the differences.
