The Meinl Timba is based on the Brazilian Timbal, a conical drum similar in design to the conga. This instrument has a light weight shell, a replaceable thin synthetic head, and mechanical lug tuning, as well as a strong hook so you can clip it to your belt for festivals and parades. The tones are sharp, clear, and bright.
