Inspired by traditional Bop-era drum sets, the PDP Concept Maple Classic combines old-school tonalities with modern technology to give you vintage sounds at an affordable price. Each drum in this set is made entirely from maple (with the toms made from 6 plies and the bass drums made from 7 plies), giving you rich and complex sounds reminiscent of drums with calfskin heads. The all-maple counterhoops on each drum are protected by vintage, low-profile claw hooks that give you set-up that traditional look and feel.

To help reduce the weight on the bass drum, PDP has redesigned their traditional tom mount system for the Concept Maple Classic to be lighter and more low-profile. Not only does this help promote the resonance of the bass drum, it makes moving your kit easier than ever.
