Pork Pie Percussion 6.5" x 14" Mahogany Maple Mahogany Snare with Rings

The Pork Pie 6.5" x 14" Maple/Mahogany Snare Drum is a rich, interesting drum that sounds as complex as it looks. It has a wide overtone spectrum but a tight, full response, aided by a 10-ply shell with an 8-ply reinforcement ring.

Also built into the shell is a Macassar Ebony and Massur Birch panel on the shell of the drum that gives the drum a totally unique look that is typical of Pork Pie's boutique drums. 60 degree inside and rounded outer bearing edges help mellow out the overtones and contribute to the rich tone of the drum as well.

As is the case with Pork Pie drums, this shell is made completely by hand in England. The satin finish gives the instrument a bright sheen without the thickness of paint, and is again applied totally by hand.
