Evans ST Dry Snare Drum Batter Heads can withstand heavy attacks (the ST stands for "Super Tough") thanks to its two-ply design. 15 mils of film give you a huge amount of durability and power in your rimshots. It's surprisingly sensitive for its thickness, responding to quiet ghost notes easily.
Precision-drilled air holes around the perimeter of the head dry up ringy overtones and shorten the sustain for a punchier sound.
