The Meinl 22" Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash/Ride Cymbal features a major contrast between the brightly polished, large-hammered edge and the raw central area with extensive small hammer marks.
If you crash this cymbal, it produces a low-pitched, growly attack followed by a medium-high wash of overtones. Treat it like a ride and it will carry those med-high overtones along, and you can add or take away articulation by moving to the raw or polished surface.
