Meant to be stacked on top of one another, the combination of a bottom crash and top China Kang creates a loud, fast, extremely trashy slap to the face. It's a great sound effect, and everything you play on these cymbals is articulated right to the audience's ears.

HH stands for 'Hand-Hammered', which means exactly what it sounds like: a cymbal maker in the Sabian factory will sit down and hammer, by hand, all of those little divots and bumps you can see on the cymbal's bow. This very traditional method creates a very traditional sound: dark, lusty, and deep. These cymbals are prized among jazzers for their vintage 1940's - 1950's sound, as well as concert percussionists for their dark tone.
