Pearl 3.0 Octave malletSTATION
After seeing many issues that band programs and individual performers have come across while implementing electronic mallet controllers into their front ensembles or other applications, Pearl proudly introduces the EM1 malletSTATION.
Right out of the gate the EM1's hybrid alumium and steel chassis provides extreme durability and weather/water resistance that will put any director's mind at ease if a cold front, or scattered showers decide to show up on contest day.
This 3.0 octave instrument has variable pitch assignment as well as removable "Gap Caps" (accidental note covers) which offer a wide range of possibilities. Powered by Keith McMillan Instruments this controller is all ready to roll, but of course you can also add any other soundscapes you might have via an external MIDI expander (sold separately).
For ease of use, the EM1 is powered exlusively by Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, and Android devices through USB bus power, allowing you to perform pretty much anywhere you want! Plus it helps de-clutter things a bit by decreasing the amount of cables running to and from the keyboard. A 6 ft. USB cable is included.
Finished in a warm Platinum Grey this keyboard will be a great addition to any front ensemble and many other performance settings.
The controller consists of 43 soft silicone keys, 3 x MIDI assignable faders, 4 x MIDI assignable buttons, 3 x MIDI assignable 1/4" pedal inputs, note range shift buttons, and octave up/down buttons.
Dimensions of the EM1 are 49" long by 12.6" deep and 1.6" high, and the overall weight is a mere 16.25 lbs.
