Adams 1.6 Octave Philharmonic 1.5" Satin Chimes

Adams 1.6 Octave Philharmonic Satin Brass Chimes recreate the sound of church bells with huge amounts of sustain and power thanks to each 1.5"-wide tube's thick walls. The timeless satin finish on each note gives the instrument a grand aesthetic fit for ancient halls.

These chimes are the best (and heaviest) Adams has to offer, made for the best professional orchestras and musical ensembles in the world. The frame is height adjustable to give you room for bass chime notes, or to play side-by-side with bass chimes at the same horizontal level.

Ranging from C5 to G6, these chimes sit in an elegantly sturdy frame, letting you instantly dampen or let ring the tubes via the foot pedal. A dampener lock pin allows you to keep the notes ringing without needing to hold your foot on the pedal.

Locking casters prevent the instrument from moving when using the pedal. A full-length cover and two chime hammers are included.

The 1.6 range includes two more notes than a standard set of chimes - the high F#6 and G6 at the top. These extra pitches cover almost all written music for the instrument, particularly at the high end. Rarely orchestral literature will call for notes below the low C5.
