Adams 3.3 Octave Artist Vintage Glockenspiel
The Adams 3.3 Octave Artist Vintage Glockenspiel brings you the aural and aesthetic beauty of the professional instruments made in the early 20th century, without all of the hassle of renovating a century-old instrument (like replating the bars, replacing rusty parts, and other typical problems).
Each 1.25" bar is made of high grade, extremely resonant steel, shaped in the Round Top tradition and tuned to A=442. This design gives you the purest tone even when you don't strike dead center, and it keeps the gorgeous nickel plating from reflecting bright lights into your eyes.
Nickel-plated resonators under each bar add a huge amount of power and ring to each note, easily cutting through a full orchestra combined with a full choir. This is a pedal glockenspiel, allowing you to fully control the ring of the bars with your feet instead of having to awkwardly use hands/arms/towels to achieve silence.
The rails and end pieces are made of beautifully dark walnut, complementing the nickel-plated steel tubing underneath. The frame is a 21st-century update to the minimalist design of old, made to be sturdier and easier to move around than truly old tube frames. It looks fantastic and very high-class on the concert stage.
Reverse-plotted bar pins on the natural notes allow you to play closer to the accidentals on quick runs without accidentally smacking the pin.
