Gretsch's 6.5" x 14" Silver Series Ash Snare Drum features a shell 7.2mm thick to give it a lot of structural strength under all the heavy beating that you'll give it. If you're looking for a drum that sounds more aggressive than maple, this is a great choice.
The shell on this drum has 30-degree snare wires, a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head, and a Remo Ambassador resonant head to give you good sounds out of the box.
